The Chief Human Resources Officer will be a vital member of the leadership team of the North American division of Edged Data Centers. We are looking for someone who provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the organization’s HR operations. The Chief Human Resources Officer is responsible for implementing long-range strategic talent management goals, and setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices.

The Chief Human Resources Officer needs to be an agile, team-focused individual, with proven professionalism, who is comfortable in a rapidly changing environment. The right person is trustworthy with confidential information, highly organized, self-motivated, has excellent communication skills, can think strategically, able to develop trusting relationships with senior leaders and employees, and works equally as well independently as with a team. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define the organization’s long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through proactive talent recruitment, management, and development strategies.
  • Develop HR priorities and strategies to support the achievement of the overall business operations objectives.
  • Provide overall leadership and development to the HR capability by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, employee relations, training, leadership development, compensation, and benefits.
  • Develop strategic recruiting strategies and processes to meet the human capital needs of the organization. Focus on attracting, developing, and retaining a diverse workforce with employees that enrich the organization through varied perspectives and experiences.
  • Implement and iterate on HR systems and processes to support a rapidly growing workforce including compensation, performance management, etc.
  • Identify key performance indicators for the organization’s human resource and talent management functions; assess the organization’s success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.
  • Foster inclusivity by developing and adjusting frameworks that promote equality, ensuring that every employee feels valued and empowered to contribute their best while helping to transform the organization.
  • Maintain knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management.
  • Ensure compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
  • Research, develop, and implement competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs.
  • Able to travel within North America approximately 20% + of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s or law degree highly preferred.
  • Ten or more years of human resource management experience required, with strategic, talent management, benefits, and compensation experience.
  • Certification including SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.
  • Experience with managing a team of HR professionals.
