Endeavour has an exciting opportunity for an IoT DevOps Engineering Intern to take part in our Summer Internship Program.

The IoT DevOps Engineering Intern is a vital member of Edged’s Platform Technology team. We are looking for someone who is a problem solver, curious about how things work, and not afraid to take on something new and challenging for the first time.

The  IoT DevOps Engineering Intern needs to be agile, professional, and comfortable in a rapidly changing environment. • Investigate, design, & implement new IoT device communication templates.
• Assist with the operation of the Development Environment (Azure IoT Platform).
• Light software development, scripting, and API integration.
• Documentation for the IoT template process.
• Prepare template packages suitable for internal test and early beta users.
• Assist with Automation and Testing of early-stage production software.

• Preferred undergraduate degree candidates: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related.
• Experience programming in Python, C#, or JavaScript and handling data in JSON or XML formats.

• Practical experience with Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing preferred.
• General networking (TCP/IP) and Internet communication protocols.
• Working knowledge of Ubuntu or similar Linux distributions.
• Familiarity with Docker or other containerized virtualization platforms.
• Familiarity with hardware devices such as Raspberry Pi, Beaglebone, Dragon Board, Arduino or other IoT smart devices.
