The Site Acquisitions Manager will be a valued member of the Corporate Development team of the NorthAmerican division of Edged Data Centers (“Edged”). The Site Acquisitions Manager will conduct site evaluation and acquisition activities that support the overall expansion strategy and growth objectives of Edged Data Centers. This position will work extensively across various internal and external stakeholders including the Sales, Design, and Construction teams as well as `consultants, brokers, due diligence vendors, and power companies. The Site Acquisitions Manager will work with the broader Corporate Development team to help source and diligence new acquisitions and evaluate investment opportunities.
TheSite Acquisition Manager needs to be an agile, team-focused individual, with a proven ability to evaluate multiple sites for data center development viability across several North American markets simultaneously. The right person is highly organized, self-motivated, has excellent communication skills, can think strategically, and works equally as well independently as with a team. · Enable the company’s portfolio expansion strategy by identifying site acquisition opportunities for evaluation
· Work with Corporate Development team to underwrite and diligence new opportunities, put together investment memos, market analysis and business plans to support underlying acquisition targets
· Coordinate the evaluation of power procurement, entitlements, development feasibility, and customer requirements to assist in the prioritization of sites and inform the acquisition and underwriting process
· Work across internal and external stakeholders to formulate the business case justification for acquisition of selected sites
· Lead the acquisition process from identification through closing by negotiating purchase agreements, supporting due diligence efforts, and assisting with the acquisition approval process
· Create site evaluation and acquisition reporting and updates for senior management and stakeholder reviews
· Manage third-party real estate, legal, and due diligence vendors and contracts
· Bachelors degree in Real Estate, CivilEngineering, Business, Finance or related field
· 10+ years of experience with development, investments,brokerage, or similar company, with specific experience in acquisition ordevelopment
· 5+ years of experience in data center site selection or development
· Effective Organizational and Time ManagementSkills
· Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
